    Appointment to Faculty Positions




    IIT Roorkee invites online applications from Indian Nationals for around 215 Faculty positions in carious Departments/ Centres at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor (all regular posts) and Assistant Professor (on contract). in the following  departments/ centres :
    • Architecture & Planning, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, Earthquake Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Hydrology, Management Studies, Mathematics, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Paper Technology, Physics, Water Resources Development & Management, Alternate Hydro Energy Centre, Institute Computer Centre, Institute Instrumentation Centre and Centre of Nanotechnology.
    Pay Scales :
    1. Professor : Rs.37400-67000) with AGP Rs. 10500/-
    2. Associate Professor :  Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP Rs.9500/-
    3. Assistant Professor : Rs.15600-39100) with AGP Rs. 8000/-. On completion of 3 years service as Assistant Professor, shall move to  Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 9000/-
    4. Assistant Professor on contract : Rs. 15600-39100 with seven non (On contract) compounded advance increments with AGP Rs. 6000/- .They will move after 1 year to AGP of Rs. 7000/-

    Rs. 27/- if required by registered post) envelope of size 10” x 4”. The completed application should reach Deputy Registrar, Establishment (A) Section, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee-247 667 (Uttarakhand), on or before - 30/11/2011.
